Paris is amazing! :D taking the train and walking in the cold weather was really relaxing…
Got off the plane and went to take our baggage. Had to wait so long!! :( anyway after that we had to take a bus and actually go outside… Let me tell you, first time ever I have felt that kind of cold breeze in my life!!! It was about 2-3 degrees I think. I always thought it’d be bearable with just a jacket but seriously, without the winter jacket that was supposed to be my sisters…. (down filling) I would die!!! D: I was wearing four layers including the winter jacket with a scarf and a beanie… Wear that in Malaysia and you’ll sweat to death. Well, it was like 6 in the morning in Paris while we departed at like 11 am… Very za dao… -.-
Well, the bus stopped and we got off. Dad was there waiting… :D we couldve took the underground train but we walked instead. It wasn’t that far… :)
Well, sis and I sleeping in pullout bed while mom and dad are curled up upstairs. Tv is all in french except one channel that shows English movies. :) there’s a balcony and I can only get wifi there. :P
Rained quite a lot and didnt snow at all!!! It wasn’t cold enough to snow… :( Oh! And while I was napping in the afternoon here, I was getting SMS-es saying merry Christmas when it was only Christmas eve here…. :P replied some and sorry if I didn’t reply… Expensive!!! :(
Ate mostly Maggie mee and pasta and mushroom soup… :) still haven’t eaten ratatouille! Man I wanna taste that!! :(
I saw the arc and the river seine. And the eifel tower of course… Simply gorgeous. The art, the music and the sights and sounds of Paris is just overwhelming!! In the underground trains… In the tunnels… I’ve seen so far a violinist, someone playing the accordion and another person playing the blowing piano? I have no idea what it’s called. They’re awesome but they were beggin…
Christmas day… I can see the starry sky from the balcony. It’s just beautiful… :) saw the eifel tower on Christmas day.. Jam-packed!! There’s an lift up the eifel tower but the line is so long!! :( still, we lined up and sort of froze to death waiting. Worst thing is when we reach there it was the one where we had to climb stairs up the floors of the tower. It’s cold enough down there and it’s even colder up there with the wind blowing in my face, freezing my nose and ears off!!! But it was worth it. :) the view is beautiful! I could see everything! The opera house… The grand palace… The seine river… Felt like I could see till the edge of the world! We only went up to the second floor though… Then we took a lift down and the end.
Next day we went to the opera house. There was a painting on the ceiling… Forgot what they call those things. :P no opera though. But you know, I don’t really mind. :) after the opera house we planned to go shopping but that store wasn’t open. :( Europeans is definitely not like Malaysian. Malaysians have shopping malls open until 10pm, Monday to Friday! They close early on Sundays. :( so not much shopping… Besides, it’s all in euros! Which mean everything is x5. So cheap there is expensive here. :P
So after that we took a train to bruxelles. That’s in Belgian. Checked in. Went out again sight seeing. Belgian was colder than Paris. We saw the pissing boy fountain. It’s kinda popular. :P we (me and sis) were freezing and mum wanted to see the fountain. So we froze and froze and for what? To see the tiny pissing boy. It’s like… You see pictures of it and think it’s like really big or something. It’s not actually. It’s tiny. You know, sometimes they dress that statue. XD
Next day, we’re off to gent to see uncle geert. XD gent is in belgian too. It’s really nice and I like that place. Uncle geert told us so many things about his home town and he made jokes while sort of telling us the history of that place. It’s really medieval there. There’s the palace of the counts. Drizzling a bit when we were there but bearable. :) there was a room where they showed torture devices! I like that room… :) I’m such a saddist.. There was a gullotine too! The head chopping thing.. And the blade is original though the other wood thing wasn’t so the blade really has chopped off heads. :0
Day after that we’re off to Bruges. One thing I’m gonna remember bout that place is the holy blood chapel. Not grand. Not big. But it says it has the basilica of holy blood (Jesus’s blood). I saw it and it’s clod and we almost missed it cause try were gonna close up already. :P
And that’s the last of my holidays in Europe. Next day early in the morning, we leave for the airport and board the plane. The flight back we took buisness class. :) first time and it’s so much better. :) yummy satay! :D enjoyed myself on the plane then towards the end, meaning almost landing, I looked at the calendar and dreaded every second. Why? Well, 1st January 2010 was spent in the plane. :X didn’t mind that. Then 2nd and 3rd I’ll probably be in Johor. And then 4th school starts. :( I won’t have a few days to laze around. :( I’ll be in JOHOR to celebrate my grandmas birthday when I could be at home lazing around… Or doing something else! I don’t know!! Oh… And my sis gets bitchier every day! No idea why.. She keeps calling me stupid when I say stuff.. When actually she’s the stupid one!! Grr… So mad at her… >:(
… … …
Sigh.
… …
I’ll have to deal with it. P.S this post was written bit by bit day by day so I might sound happy in one then angry the next. :) sorreh!
Note: I didn’t get to see snow. F@*%#!!! But… Omg! The French are so hot!!! XD
Lastly… Happy new year and have a good year people! I love you guys… :)
